Gerhardt
Will/Wull (son of Hans Adam Wull/Will
and Anna Juliana Tross) was born March 23,
1719 in Hessen Cassel Lautenbach, Saar Germany,
and died Aft. July 03, 1778 in Lincoln,
North Carolina. He married Mary Barbara
Drach on 1746, daughter of Rudolph Drach
and Mary Elizabeth Diffenbach.

for Gerhardt Will/Wull:
Was born in the village
of Lautenbach in the Saar district of Germany
on the 23rd of March, 1720. Was baptised
at the D"rrenbach Evangelical Church
March 25, 1720 and confirmed on Feb. 24,
1734. received permission to emigrate to
America on April 17, 1744. Sailed aboard
an English ship named Friendship, with John
Mason as Captain. It took about 6 months
to make the crossing, which was about average
.He landed in Philadelphia, Penn. on November
2, 1744 and took an oath of alleglance on
the same day. He was naturalized in Philadelphia,Penn.
on April 4, 1762, almost 18 years after
coming to America.
Obtained a land warrant for 200 acres Berks
Co., Penn. Dec.3, 1746. He and his wife
Marie Barbara had 11 children, 5 boys and
6 girls. In 1767 left for North Carolina
because land was cheaper there and the climate
was warmer.They settled in Old Tryon Co.,
North Carolina, after a trip of about 500
miles. Gerhardt Will bought and sold a large
amount o various tracts of land in North
Carolina.
