OBITUATY: AGED RESIDENT OF THE COUNTY CALLED SUNDAY
Edward W. Hasker, a resident of Kankakee county for many years, died Saturday, Aug. 17, at the home of his daughter, Laura Viola Wright at Gibson City, IL.
The son of John and Amelia Hasker, he was born at Blue Island, IL. Jun 1, 1859. As a small child he came with his parents and brothers to a farm in Otto township, Kankakee county. He got his early education in the neighborhood school. He grew up on the farm ever proving a loyal son and brother.
On December 29, 1886, he was united in marriage to Mary Ester McIntyre at Chebanse, IL. To this union one child was born. They resided on a farm near Irwin, IL until 1897 when they moved to Kankakee where they resided until about two years ago when on account of failing health they went to the home of their daughter in Gibson City.
He united with Trinity M. E. Church some twenty-five years ago as long as health permitted was happy to do whatever he could to help this church and its cause.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother John, and loving wife. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Viola Wright, two Grandsons,
Hasker and Edward Wright two brothers George W. of Kankakee, William S. of Chicago, two nephews, one neice, four grandnephews and a host of loyal friends.
Funeral services will be in charge of Rev. B. F. Eckley at Trinity Church, southside, Kankakee, Tuesday, Aug 20, 1929, at 2:30. Burial at Mound Grove cemetery.
